The more we can get done upfront, the easier and more accurate the contractor bidding process will go. Our first step in working together on any project, especially a new construction project, is always to do a deep dive into the overall investment estimate for all interior finishes such as hardwood flooring, cabinetry, lighting, countertops, etc. We strongly believe that this is an essential step before signing any contracts with a builder. When this step is missed, homeowners are often under the impression that builder “allowances” will afford them everything they are hoping for. We know this is too often not the case and therefore we make it our priority to make sure the numbers are as clearly defined as possible as early in the process as possible. Once the numbers are finalized, we work closely with our clients to define the overall aesthetic direction for their new home.
