OUR FAVORITE PLUG-IN WALL SCONCES
So, I loveee lighting. I particularly love wall sconces. However, unlike falling in love with the perfect table lamp and bringing it home and finding the perfect spot for it.. purchasing a wall sconce takes a little more consideration. Most wall sconces are designed to be hard-wired, so unless you are an electrician or have a boyfriend like me that somehow knows how to do everything, you will need to call in some help to hard-wire an electric box in order to install those wall sconces where you want them. And while its not the most difficult or expensive task, it’s definitely something to consider before impulse buying that sconce you love (I actually have 2 pendants sitting in my studio right now just waiting for the day that I finally decide to have someone install them because I brought them home without an actual place to put them). It is also not super practical to be calling in an electrician to be doing this type of work if you are renting or only in a space temporarily. SO!! I thought it would be super helpful to round up some of my favorite plug-in wall sconces. Yep! They make those, however, they aren’t all that easy to find as sometimes the plug isn’t photographed and you have to really read into the specs online before realizing that they aren’t meant to be hard-wired. BESIDE YOUR BED
One of my favorite places to incorporate plug-in wall sconces is next to the bed. This is a quick and easy way to refresh the space without doing a total overhaul of the whole room. You can use the wall sconces to replace beside table lamps that would typically be on your nightstand, or you can incorporate both and use the wall sconce as task lighting while reading in bed.
